Q. How will photographs be sent to me?
A. Either by email or by the "You Send It" file cloud download application.
Email - if you have purchased a few images.
You Send It - if you have purchased a number of images we prefer to send it either by mail (on a CD), or use the file cloud download application "You Send It" (www.yousendit.com/how-it-works) allowing you to download your purchased stock images from the cloud.
Q. How can I pay for my photos?
A. By credit card, direct debit or cheque. Shutterbirds uses the secure payment method Paypal. You send us your requirements (image name, image ID, medium of use, digital or hardcopy, and quantity) and we will reply with supportive information and a Paypal link that will allow you to electronically deposit the invoiced amount. Once done you will receive a tax invoice and we will forward your purchased products.
We will also supply you our account details if you'd prefer to direct debit.
Cheques will need to be made payable to... Please note: when using the cheque method, we will only send your purchased stock images once your cheque has cleared.
Q. Are photos cheaper if I buy more than 1?
A. There are discounts for purchases of 5 or more photos and subscriptions are also available. Contact email@example.com for more details.
Q. Are there any restrictions on my use of the Shutterbirds stock images?
A. Yes. While shutterbirds offers great freedoms and a wide ranges of uses, we do not allow the
redistribution of our photos, or allow the use of our photos within products that are mass distributed in any type of archive format.
Q. Is permission needed to use your preview images in layouts and comps?
A. No, so long as they are not reproduced in the public domain without permission.
Q. Is it okay to use your images on the web?
A. Yes, provided web rights are available and you pay the appropriate fee.
Q: What if your preview image is of sufficient quality for my purpose, is there still a charge to
A. Yes. The size of the image file is irrelevant to the copyright. Any use of an image in the public
domain must first be negotiated.
Q: Are your Shutterbirds photographers able to undertake special assignments?
A. Absolutely. Contact us to discuss the details of the nature of the assignment.
Q: Do you have other material besides the categories listed?
A. Yes. If we can't supply what you need we can usually refer you to other high quality sources.
Q: Are your master files suitable for large digital prints?
Q: Do you have other images that are not shown on this website?
A. Yes, and we will continue to add them to our website as the files are made ready for reproduction.
